Brought to you by the #1 Blender brand. A blender that’s anything but basic. Your life isn’t basic. Your blender shouldn’t be either. With this Oster blender you don’t have to sacrifice quality for simplicity. The 6-cup glass jar is dishwasher safe and has been Thermal Shock tested so you can pull it out of a steamy dishwasher and safely make a frosty cold beverage right away. The stainless steel reversible blade changes direction automatically drawing ingredients into the jar – no clogging! The Electronic pre-programmed settings provide consistent results and convenient one-touch operation. 7 speeds and 600 watts give you the power to perform for every usage occasion from frozen beverages to dips, from sauces to smoothies, from soup to nuts. Like most Oster Blenders, it is made in North America and backed by the superior quality of All Metal Drive. Because the two pieces that connect are metal (instead of plastic), you get a more durable and longer-lasting blender that will function flawlessly, party after party, year after year. The competition just can’t compare. No matter the occasion, party for 15 or smoothie for two, blending is better with an Oster blender.

Awesome Blender. Replaced my Vista-Mix. I have had a Vita-Max for almost 7 years now. While the Vita-Mix can’t be beat power wise it has some very important weaknesses. First it is very expensive. I paid almost $600 for mine. Second, if you use protein poweder in it you have to not only rinse it immediately, you have to blend water in it to clean the protein powder grit out of it so that it doesn’t destroy the blade assembly. I have went through three blade assemblies in the last 7 years. This with following their directions for blending water in it after using it. Third, the plastic (polycarbonate) containers crack at the bracing points. I have went through 8 containers in 7 Years.

You can buy a lot of rum with the $500 you save Pros: 1. It makes excellent smoothies and frozen drinks 2. It doesn’t cost as much as a 50″ HDTV 3. It is a blender, not a suite of blending technologies. 4. When you hit someone in the temple with the thick glass pitcher, they stay down. They don’t get up and stab you a minute later while you are catching your breath.Cons: 1. It is LOUD. An assailant could easily sneak up behind you unheard, keep your head on a swivel and be ready to grab that thick glass pitcher.I can’t imagine what a person would do with a blender other than making smoothies and frozen drinks so if you decide to get creative you may or may not be disappointed.Ice cubes, rum, coconut milk, pineapple juice, pause all conversations, press the “Frozen Drink” button, deal with the ROAR, enjoy a silky smooth piña colada with no ice chunks clogging your straw like the drinks Steve made at that one party with a substandard blender.

The Good Life says:

pulverizes everything, but loud enough to wake the dead I definitely recommend this blender. I use my Oster Fusion blender at least three or four times a week to make fruit yogurt smoothies, and it absolutely pulverizes frozen fruit and ice. On a handful of occasions I’ve had to run it twice based on the ingredients or whether they got stuck in the wrong spot, but this is the first blender I’ve ever had that didn’t leave ANY chunks of ice.
